Help me name and identify my new friend!

I went to Trader Joes yesterday, and I found a new friend! She's now sitting on my office desk, basking in the fluorescent glow of the overhead lights.

I need help with two things: First, help me identify this plant! I know next to nothing about plants, and I'd love to know her story. Also, I have NO idea how to take care of a succulent, so any and all advice would be much appreciated! Secondly, she needs a name. Preferably something to confuse my coworkers.

well, I'm looking around and it looks to be a member of the Aloe family for sure. Not Aloe Vera though, just from the way the leaves are growing there.

I'm gonna find out soon though... just need more time :)

and I would name it something to do with the pattern.. like: Rosette

which literally means, a spiral arrangement in leaves.

So the question is - how often do I water her, and will she live on my desk in only fluorescent light?

About once a week is ok for watering it, maybe less if the soli is staying pretty moist between waterings. It will do fine inside for quite some time, though it probably won't grow a whole lot.

Well, if you wanna confuse your coworkers, name it Tom or Spatula. Then they won't know who you're talking about. That should be pretty confusing.
