Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.

1) I can touch my tongue to my nose.

2) I just shaved my legs. They're nice and smooth!

3) My GPA in graduate school was 3.827. I know this because I just received my transcript in the mail today. (Needed to send it to my potential employer).

4) My favorite 3/4 length sleeve sweater, grey crochet style, was a random find in the lounge of Mudd Blaisdell dorm on the Pomona College campus. Junior year. It was abandoned for a few days before I claimed it. I've had it ever since, and it's a staple of my wardrobe. I love that it's an XS!

5) I played oboe for 9 years: 4th grade through senior year in high school. At one point, I knew how to make my own reeds.

6) On the subject of oboe - Often, when I sing songs to myself, I imagine the note progression in terms of oboe fingerings. They also have colors: middle C is yellow, the G below that is green, F is dark purple. B flat is amber. E flat is a shimmering translucent magenta.

Book Meme:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
6. Post your entry in whichever journal you found this, as well as on your own page.

Numbers were important this morning, that's what it was - she was into numbers, two dogs stretched out on the floor, four women in the kitchen (and she wasn't going to call them chicks, because that was just stupid, that was demeaning and belittling, no matter what Ronnie said), two goats under the tree, forty-three people lined up for breakfast and one sun, fat and glowing, making a magical thing of the flat black grid of the screen door.
