i'm back from eight months in asia.
so much has changed, and so much is the same.
right now i am brushing my teeth. today i replaced the cap & rotor and spark plugs on my 1986 toyota pickup truck (her name's BonBon). i'm departing soon for a US road trip.
things i missed while in asia: cheese, drinkable tap water, loud amplified music, friends with history, furry legwarmers and platform shoes, NPR, talking for hours on the phone, good pizza, riding my bicycle, urban planning, lighting things on fire.
things i miss from asia: stationery stores, cheap and liberal pharmacies, train rides, spicy food, fresh homemade curd, more exciting traffic, hindi pop.
