I like my company!

I mentioned to KM, one of the Big Bosses here at my company, that
there's some question about my eligibility to take the EIT. He rolled
his eyes and said to keep him posted, and if there's anything he or
the company can do to help, he's there for me. He said something to
the effect of "If we need to, we'll throw the corporate weight of the
company behind you."

YAY for nice bosses who are supportive! He also wants to know about my
offers at other companies so he can make sure our salaries are
competitive - who knows, perhaps that means I'll get a nice raise at
the end of the year. No counting chickens or anything, but it was nice
to hear him mention that he wants to pay everyone a fair salary for
the market.

A non-EIT update is coming soon, I promise!

Dood! Sounds to me like the company really considers you a valuable member of the team regardless of the initials you can put after your name. I doubt they would be so supportive if you weren't very important to them... and the fact that your boss is anxious to put his money where his mouth is testifies even more to the quality of your work. Good show!

ps- I saw a nice furry jacket today right in the front of the Goodwill store on 51 ("the 51" for you californians) that might be your size.
